Does anybody know what this is from?
07/19/06 Super Office Space
06/11/06 Animator vs. Animation
05/30/06 Holy Mackrel Batwoman!
Hmmm, this could either be interesting and a new dimension to comic books, or a misguided attempt at political correctness....

UPDATE: Here is a great article that summarizes it in case you missed it.

09/26/05 Two birds with one stone
Two things I want to achieve with this entry.
1. Say hello and introduce myself. Hi, I'm Elessarion, from London UK (apologies if anyone has already read my hello message on the discussion board).
2. Say that I went to see Howl's Moving Castle last night and was totally blown away by it. Some friends and I went to a late showing last night, which turned out to be a wise move as the cinema was practically deserted and so allowed us to concetrate on the great story and fantastic visuals without some annoying small children losing interest in the subtleties of the plot and proceeding to run amok.
Anyway, the film. I won't give spoilers but safe to say if you like Miyazaki films then this one is a cert. Excellent visuals, story appropriately quirky without being totally bemusing to those with an ounve of brain and patience, and even decent voiceover work by a decent cast.
Go see.

07/04/05 While at the anime convention...

I made a purchase of a new mousepad... YAY!!!
06/22/05 METROCON!!!
The thing I'm currently looking foward to the most is meeting Johnny Yong Bosch! Quick FYI:
Johnny Yong Bosch made his debut as Adam, the Black Ranger on Might Morphin’ Power Rangers. He appeared in over 200 episodes and both big screen versions of the series. He is also known for his voice acting work as Vash in Trigun, Kaneda in Akira, Reiji in Gate Keepers, Claus in Last Exile, Clair in Heat Guy J, Sakaki in Witch Hunter Robin, Mike in Please Twins, and Kiba in Wolf’s Rain. Johnny has recently completed his directorial debut on a love action horror film called Devon’s Ghost with Artist View Entertainment. Johnny is also a part of the rock band Eyeshine. This will be Johnny’s first appearance at METROCON.
YEAH!!!! Time for the KuJoe bashing to begin!!

05/02/05 Naruto Movie!
I just have to post this... it took me forever to find it but I finally downloaded and watched the new Naruto movie!! It came out on DVD in Japan last week and a subtitled version finally arrived!! I just finished watching and and I must say it was a good movie. It was worth staying up all night downloading it and then watching it. Very comedic and action packed... which is expected from Naruto. There are some parts that just make you sit up and bring you to the edge of your seat, there are some parts that bring you to tears from laughing, and then there are some parts that have you cheering in your seat. This movie, being the first theatrical release for Naruto, deviates from the series and TV specials by not including one key element I've come to expect from Naruto... sadness. As you watch the series it's an emotional rollercoaster at times. Alot of very devistatingly sad parts in the series and TV specials they aired. This movie didn't touch on that emotion but then again, it was a new attempt for Naruto and I have to say it was a success. As for those of you Naruto fans out there, I hope you enjoy the movie as much as I did.
05/01/05 Family Guy/American Dad
Well there's an hour of my life I'll never get back. Family guy has obviously lost their touch. The only funny bit in tonight's episode was the part with GI Joe. The Mel Gibson bit was funnier when it was done on South Park. An American Dad didn't even seem liek a real TV show. It seemed more like a parody of an animated show. A gay alien living in the house? Is that supposed to be funny? The real estate angle was funnier on the Simpsons.
So not only were they unfunny but they were unoriginal.

04/29/05 First non-introduction entry...
First I want to point out that I love using ellipses(...). Usually when I make a post it's one giant thought and therefore isn't broken down into sentences or paragraphs. I just use these ellipses to space out my thoughts or to impliment that I'm thinking. Anyways, on to the real entry.
(This first real entry allows me to create the first category for this group blog.)
I wake up to find the new Scooby Doo show on TV, I get up and realize that I've only had roughly 4 hours of sleep, but I don't care, I got things to do, places to be, and cartoons to watch. So I'm watching Scooby Doo and they have a guest appearance by Simple Plan on. I thought that was pretty kewl. I really don't remember what stood out from Scooby Doo specificly, so I'm going to wander to a different topic that I remembered I wanted to bring up. Every Thursday one of my favorite tv shows is released on the internet for my viewing pleasure, Naruto. It's a great anime but since it is not available here I have to wait until a subtitled version is available for me to watch it (it comes out every Wednesday in Japan so it usually comes out around 1AMish subtitled on the internet). It's currently on episode 132 with 1 theatrical released movie and 2 TV Specials. All in all it's a very well put together piece of art. I used to read the manga(for those who don't know read: comic book) before the TV show was available so I've been hooked since it started being produced. Well I'm going to put my powers of importance(ha!) to good use and every Friday I will right up an entry dedicated to Naruto... I feel it's only proper to allow such an enjoyable anime that respect. I am a big fan of alot of the anime on Adult Swim which Naruto will soon be a part of (which I want to add that the American version is going to suck compared to the Japanese version, why? Because they are going to water down alot of the comedic content to keep the censors off their arse). Well, I hope there are some Naruto fans in the audience. And to those who aren't, I hope there are some open-minded people in the audience who will give all types of artwork a fair chance before bashing it to the ground. Contact me if interested in more info about Naruto.
(Also, I don't know who still uses a 56k connection but if the icon I chose for this category is to big, let me know and I'll change it to something smaller.)
