08/30/07 A little catch-up. Or catsup, if you prefer.
So, here's the reason I've been present around here less than normally.
About a month ago, we had a lightning storm strike the tree in my back yard, and that somehow got into the wiring of my house, making my computer not alive anymore.
So, this is the first time I've really been able to get on here to make any posts. And it'll be the last time for a while, I'm assuming, seeing as I just got Blue Dragon for my 360 yesterday. I already put 13 hours on it in one day. That's going to be devouring my soul for quite some time. Let me just say that this game is as amazing as they've made it out to be, if not more. The visuals are stunning, the world is huge, expansive, and just outright gorgeous. And the music is so great I just got done ordering the Blue Dragon Soundtrack for 40 dollars. Nobuo Uematsu has outdone himself, if I do say so myself. Then again I'm kind of a weird guy, so I don't know how far my opinions and/or thoughts go.
Anyways, I'm off to work, then I get to do some paintballing tomorrow. That'll be a lot of fun. A few of my friends deserve to get shot, and this is the only legal way to do it.
Hopefully I'll be around a little more when/if I get my computer fixed. Have fun guys.

It's from Pravda so take it for what it's worth.

08/25/07 Live from the ocean
So yeah, I live in Wisconsin. And it didn't rain at all in July, and very little in June. I kept thinking we needed it.
You know the saying - be careful what you wish for. You may have heard we've gotten a bit of rain lately. Ye gods, and how. It's stormed virtually nonstop for the last two and half weeks. There's been a few times it's rained so hard for so long that there's been 3/4 of an inch of standing water on the ground. I don't have the exact figures, but I'd estimate we've gotten approximately 1,973 gazillion inches of rain. At least I'm nowhere near the flooding areas, but I'm still expecting sharks to begin migrating here any day now, which will be a great new excuse to stay indoors.
In the electrical portion of the storms... there's been three or four nights when the sky was lit almost nonstop the entire night. Kinda cool to watch, not particularly good for the power grid. Fortunately, there haven't been any more direct strikes on my place since the +5 Chaotic Lightning Bolt of Death(tm) in 2005.
And hey, tornado season is just around the corner. YAY!
In other, non-whining news, I ran across the song Edge of the Ocean by Ivy and have been listening it to death. Death I say, death!
